Breaking the Mould
WHAT JTL'S COMMITMENT TO EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY REALLY MEANS...
JTL has run various schemes in the past aimed at raising the number of apprentices from under represented groups.
Breaking the Mould was a one off project that aims to improve the employment and training opportunities available to females, aged between 16 and 24, from the South Yorkshire area. It is jointly funded by JTL and the European Social Fund.
With 32 apprenticeship places available, it was specifically for women who want to embark upon a career in the building services engineering sector via an Apprenticeship.

JTL worked closely with employers in the South Yorkshire area to encourage them to take on female apprentices, thus 'Breaking the Mould' of the traditional image of electricians and plumbers.
