Our Employers
Without a good job with a good employer all off-site training is worthless, and we only partner with the best employers.
Whilst we will introduce candidates to employers in their area who have indicated to us that they think an apprentice will benefit their business, it is down to the young person to also look for an employer to work for during their apprenticeship.
They should begin doing this as soon as they decide that a JTL apprenticeship is for them because they cannot begin their apprenticeship until they are employed. Their Training Officer will be able to give them plenty of advice on suitable employers in their area, but they must show some initiative and look for a job themselves.
If they already have an employer lined up, then they should talk to us now as we will need to be certain that they are able to support your client properly throughout their apprenticeship.
All sorts of companies take on apprentices:
Quite often JTL apprentices work for small local companies.
Take a look at the case studies below to see what this can be like.
Alternatively, your clients could get an apprenticeship with a large regional employer. Watch Leanne's video to see how she has found working for L.J. Monks.
They may well end up working for an organisation that they wouldn't automatically consider when thinking about electricians or plumbers. Look at Danielle's story to see what her experiences have been like working for a Housing Association.
Finally, read about the experiences of the JTL apprentices who are working on a massive construction project like Heathrow Terminal 5.
