JTL believes that it has an important role in shaping the future of the industry, and as a charitable organisation, reinvests all income not directly spent on running the business in the provision, development and continuous improvement of its services to the industry. We collaborate closely with a wide variety of partners to influence the development of training provision for the building services engineering sector.
Our model is based on excellent relationships with key bodies within the industry.
Shaping our direction with our trustees (Electrical Contractors Association & Unite the Union)
Drawing down funding from the Learning & Skills Council (via NES) and Welsh Assembly Government and developing close local relationship with local LSC's and RDA's.
Providing input and support for Government initiatives and policy from DCSF and DIUS.
Liaising closely with Sector Skills Councils (SummitSkills and SEMTA) to ensure national standards are delivered across the industry,
Striving to ensure our training provision meets the needs of industry, collaborating with trade associations such as ECA, APHC, IPHE and NICEIC and the Joint Industry Boards for electrical and plumbing.
Delivering qualifications which meet the needs of the sector by working closely with our Awarding Body partners City & Guilds and EAL
Delivering a high standard of training in conjunction with our network of partner training centres - see the college locator for details of colleges we work with.
