What Will They Study?
THERE ARE FOUR PARTS TO AN ADVANCED APPRENTICESHIP
A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) is like the practical part of a driving test. An NVQ is a way of developing and testing apprentices practical on-the-job skills that they need in the workplace. Your clients will study to NVQ Level 3, which is the equivalent of 2 A Levels.
As they progress they will build up a portfolio of evidence that shows they have the skills to do the job. Their Training Officer will support them, giving them all the guidance and assistance they will need to complete it with the necessary evidence from their work experience. Their Training Officer will ensure they meet the standards required to achieve their qualifications.

A Technical Certificate demonstrates an apprentice's in-depth technical knowledge of their chosen area just like the theory test in a driving test. Your clients will study at college and be assessed on their theoretical understanding of their job.
Key Skills are essential for an apprentice to complete their JTL apprenticeship. They will study and be assessed at college in subjects including literacy, numeracy and verbal communication.
By gaining their Key Skills qualification a young person will demonstrate their ability to perform more effectively at work by working in teams, problem solving, communicating with customers and using technology. All skills that are vital to their education, employment and personal development.
