Jess Phillips MP Visits JTL Birmingham

16 October 2017     JTL

We were delighted to welcome Jess Phillips MP to the JTL Birmingham Training Centre on Friday 6th October where she had the opportunity to find out more about how JTL train electrical and plumbing apprentices. On the day Jess received a tour of the centre and its state-of-the-art workshops and even got to try her hand at stripping a wire out of a cable with the help of first year electrical apprentice Amrik Klair.

Describing her visit Jess said ‘It was a great to see the facilities at JTL’s centre in Aston and to meet with local apprentices who were undertaking their in-centre training time. Apprenticeships have a lot to offer to local young people, and it was fantastic to see first-hand the contribution they can make to filling skills gaps in the workforce.”
