JTL is acknowledged throughout the industry as providing excellent learning support to our apprentices. A typical example of this are the the new Advanced Apprentice resource books now provided to all JTL apprentices.
Developed jointly by JTL and leading educational publisher Heinemann, the plumbing and electrical resource books made waves in the industry as went straight to number 67 in the Amazon Top 100 sellers list within weeks of being made available to the market - even outselling Harry Potter in the first few days of its release.
Simon Bartley, the Chairman of the sector skills council, SummitSkills, spoke at the official launch event and gave high praise to the books. He commented:
"The JTL/Heinemann books are a demonstration of the innovative approach that JTL applies with its delivery of Advanced Apprenticeship training. By working in partnership with Heinemann, the books work towards raising the standards within the sector by providing the apprentices with the right tools for the job."
The new books are designed to accompany and deliver the knowledge requirements of the NVQ Level 2 and 3 for electrical and plumbing apprentices. Individually subject-based to cover the theory syllabuses, they provide a full colour, easy to use, illustrated resource that offers a definitive learning solution for apprentices.
