WELSH APPRENTICES RECOGNISED

Welsh apprentices recognised at awards ceremony

JTL electrical apprentices from across South Wales were awarded for their outstanding achievements during their apprenticeship at the Electrical Contractors Association ( ECA ) South Wales Annual Dinner on Saturday 19th January.

The trophies were presented by the ECA President, Bob Hall, at the Celtic Manor, Newport. JTL, the leading training provider to the building services engineering sector, saw three of its electrical apprentices win awards: Andrew Woods was winner of the Best Apprentice in Cardiff and Newport; Christopher Jenkins was awarded the Best Apprentice in West Wales; and Ryan Harding achieved the Fred Cousins Award for the highest Achievement Measurement Two (AM2) score.

Martin Laye, JTL regional manager, says: “The event went extremely well and the apprentices were very excited to have won. It is great to see that JTL apprentices are being recognised for their contribution to the industry via their Advanced Apprenticeships (AA).

“With support from JTL and their employers, the apprentices are all striving to meet their career ambitions and are promoting a positive image for other local young people and the opportunities available to them.”
