Tristram Williams


With his eye now on a facilities management role, Tristram is a 24 year old electrical apprentice. He works for Bouygues, where he was the company’s 2015 Apprentice of the Year, selected from the 20-30 apprentices who are with the company at any one time. He is also the face of the company, currently featuring on a range of the firm’s literature.

Tristram left school in 2008 at the age of 16 and started studying independently to be an electrician. After a couple of setbacks he found JTL and is now well on his way to becoming fully qualified. As a youngster, Tristram says that he was doing DIY with his dad from a very young age – always trying to fix things and always enjoying the challenge.

He currently works across three schools in South East London on major capital investment projects funded by PFI (private finance initiative) contracts. Tristram’s ambition is to become a fully qualified electrical engineer before moving towards facilities management.
