Electrical Training Course

For an electrical installation apprenticeship, the accepted way to career development, either within a company or setting up on your own, is through a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. Because of the complexity and variety of the work involved, this normally takes four years to complete. Once complete you'll have both the skills and confidence to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Progress is determined by a porfolio of evidence, which shows that you not only know and understand the theory, but have the ability to apply your knowledge practically in the workplace. Help is at hand from your employer, as well as your dedicated JTL Training Officer who has direct experience of working in the industry, and can therefore assist with any problems or difficulties you may face as part of your course.

Towards the end of the course, you'll complete what is know as your AM2 examination. This is the final practical assessment of the electrical apprenticeship (with an element of theory).

As a JTL apprentice you'll be in full time employment with a local company receiving a good wage from day one. You'll spend time learning your trade by gaining hands-on-experience working on-site with your employer, as well as attending a JTL approved training centre or college to learn the theoretical knowledge you will need.
