A-Level and GSCE results days on the horizon

03 August 2015     JTL

With this years GCSE and A-Level results days now just around the corner, there’s never been a better time to get in touch with JTL and find out about the range of work-based learning services we can provide.

This year, the A-Level results will be released on Thursday 13 August 2015, with the GCSE results released the week afterwards, on Thursday 20 August 2015.

It is worth all young people remembering at this time that further education and university are not necessarily the only options for them to pursue. For those who want to start earning as soon as possible, or perhaps who feel they would like the opportunity to make the most of their practical abilities, an apprenticeship could be the perfect way for them to kick off a career for life.

Electrical apprenticeships and plumbing apprenticeships, for example, can lead to highly sought after careers, with expected salaried in the £20,000 to £30,000 range upon the completion of a four-year apprenticeship.

Traineeships are something else that young people might like to look into. JTL are already offering a high quality traineeship programme at Sellafield alongside leading employer Balfour Beatty, as well as providing them at our National Centre of Excellence in Birmingham.

Speaking of the JTL National Centre of Excellence, it will be playing host to two events in the near future that should be of great interest to young people in the Birmingham area. Firstly, on 26 August – the day GCSE results are released – there will be an Open Day at the Centre, where people can come along to talk through their options with JTL’s experienced vocational training team.

Then, on Wednesday 2 September 2015, the Centre will be hosting an Open Interview Day, where people can find out more about apprenticeships, traineeships and full-time courses, and work out what might be the best option for them to pursue.

For more information about all of the services JTL provide, check out our website, and feel free to get in touch – we’d love to hear from you!

This year's results days fall on the 13th and 20th August
