Ambassador arrives in New York with JIB Apprentice Exchange

JTL Ambassador Sam Jones has arrived in New York with the JIB Apprentice Exchange, and you can keep up-to-date with her activities thanks to her blog.

25-year-old Sam, from Gloucestershire, was selected as the winner of the JIB's Apprentice Exchange programme earlier this year, and flew out to the States last week alongside JIB National Officer Andy Reakes.

An employee of Melvin John Electrical in Coleford; the JTL Ambassador will have the opportunity to learn about how the electrical industry works Stateside, and to spread the word on how electrical contracting works here in the UK.

The 2015 exchange is a tripartite programme, which will also see an Australian apprentice visit England later this year, and an American apprentice from New York travel to Australia. The scheme is being run by the JIB in conjunction with training provider JTL, the Electrical Contractors’ Association and Unite the Union.
