Best Apprentice Awards North West

24 November 2014     JTL

Beeston Manor, in Preston, will be the venue for the next of JTL’s regional awards ceremonies, with the North West event taking place tomorrow (November 25th 2014) evening.

The awards ceremonies have been taking place up and down the country over the last few weeks, as JTL staff, apprentices, employers, friends and family all come together to celebrate some of the best work done by young people currently undertaking a JTL electrical apprenticeship, plumbing apprenticeship or engineering maintenance apprenticeship.

The six nominees who are vying for the accolade of “North West Apprentice of the Year 2014” are made up of four electrical apprentices and two plumbing apprentices. Jordan Moran, of EEI UK Ltd, Harry Moscrop, of Barmac Electrical Ltd, Stephen Ormerod, of Ormiston Electrical Services Ltd, and Stefan Peilober, of S&J Electrical Installations Ltd, are joined by plumbing apprentices Luke Howard, of M Howard Plumbing, and Adam Seddon, of MB Heating Ltd.

Former England international cricketer and more recently National Selector Geoff Miller will be the guest speaker at the ceremony, where an award will also be presented to JTL’s Employer of the Year for the North West region.

All six of the nominees for the Best Apprentice award are in the process of completing their JTL apprenticeship. These are the individuals in the North West region who have been put forward as standing out from their peers, and they have been judged on their classroom work, practical abilities and employer feedback.

The winner will go on to represent the North West region as a nominee in the JTL National Apprentice of the Year Awards, with the ceremony taking place at Drapers’ Hall, London, in February.

Best of luck to everyone involved!
