Have your say on heating and ventilating apprenticeships

12 May 2015

Individuals in the heating and ventilating industry are being given the opportunity to have their say on revised standards regarding the service and maintenance of ductwork apprenticeships.

Following a Government review of apprenticeships in 2013, revised standards, drawn up by two small groups of service and facilities and ductwork professionals are currently up for consultation. The standards are being reviewed to ensure they continue to meet employer needs, and provide learners with the right scope and levels of competence.

Those who take part in the survey are invited to have their say on areas such as apprenticeship duration, what an apprentice should be able to do on completion, and some of the more specific knowledge and skillsets they need to gain during their training programme.

The survey should not take individuals more than 10 minutes to complete, after reviewing the two-page revised standards for the following occupations:

Building Services Engineering Service and Maintenance Engineer (Level 3 occupation)
