Installer2015 prize winner receives toolkit

09 June 2015     JTL

Visitors to the JTL Training stand at the recent Installer2015 exhibition at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry were able to enter a free prize draw to win one of the company’s tool kits supplied by partners Monument Tools, who provide tool kits to every new JTL plumbing and heating and ventilating apprentice taken on in England and Wales.

The winner of the prize was Tony Charalambides, of installation company East & Gray, and he was presented with the toolkit by Gary Humphrey, who heads JTL’s work in plumbing and heating apprenticeships, at the plumbing and central heating company’s base in Digswell, Hertfordshire.

“We had an excellent time at the show, meeting up with a large number of potential employers of new apprentices in the heating and plumbing trade – so successful in fact that we signed up for next year’s show immediately!” said Gary Humphrey.

“For us the quality of visitors to the show was excellent, and we were very encouraged by the attitude of most people we spoke to had towards taking on bright young people to work for their companies as their workload increases in line with the upturn in the economy in the country.

"Most agreed that taking on an apprentice allowed them to train the new recruit in the way they wanted to work , instilling their own company’s values and attitudes from ‘day one’ – which is a great way of developing a work force that operates to the standards they want from their team.”

There's plenty of information on apprenticeships across the JTL website, including a whole host of information for prospective employers interested in taking on an apprentice.
