JTL, the leading national training provider for electrical & plumbing and heating apprenticeships, has opened applications for more learners to join its courses at Central Bedfordshire College this Autumn.

Following the partnership announcement earlier in the year, JTL is now working alongside the College to encourage more aspiring tradespeople to register their interest in electrical and plumbing & heating apprenticeships. Each apprentice will be taught in the Incuba, the College’s bespoke construction training centre and will be allocated a dedicated JTL Training Officer who will assist them through their learning process.

JTL has been working collaboratively with Central Bedfordshire College on the development of brand new workshops, which will be successfully completed this Summer. Learners will benefit from these state-of-the-art facilities as part of their classroom and workshop-based learning.

Martin Hick, Regional Business Manager at JTL, said: ‘’We are thrilled to be opening applications for Autumn starts at Central Bedfordshire College. By sharing resources and great practice, JTL and the College can offer skills and training solutions in a positive learning environment, whilst meeting the skills gap in the local area. This is also the ideal time for employers to recruit apprentices, as since the recent government announcements there is more funding available than ever before.

“The partnership also enables a strong building services sector-based presence to be created which supports students, apprentices and employers. We are very much looking forward to inviting more aspiring tradespeople to apply and discover how they can kickstart their careers with JTL at the College.’’

Central Bedfordshire College, which is located off the A5 in Dunstable, attracts students from across the wider Bedfordshire area and beyond, including learners from Dunstable, Luton, Leighton Buzzard, Milton Keynes, and Hemel Hempstead.
