Having not lost a single match in over three years, the City of Stoke under-13s girls football team has attracted attention from national media and even appeared on Sky Sports News. The team, which trains at the City of Stoke football club, has been so successful, it started this season playing in the boys’ league.

JTL will be sponsoring the team’s new home and away kit and rain jackets.

JTL’s chief executive, Jon Graham, said: “We are looking forward to supporting Stoke FC’s under-13s girls’ team and watching their continued success this season. As the leading training provider for apprenticeships in the Building Services Engineering sector in England and Wales, we are committed to nurturing talent and encouraging young people to reach their full potential. The fact this team is also breaking boundaries by playing in a boys’ league mirrors our mission of encouraging more young women to develop careers as electricians and plumbers – job roles traditionally dominated by men.”

Landen Burton, the team’s manager, said: “We are so proud of the team’s achievements to date and it’s been incredible watching them go from strength to strength over the past few years. To see their commitment and dedication rewarded with the support given by JTL is fantastic and I’m confident this new sponsorship will help the team take on the challenges they face this season.”
