28 March 2019

We're proud to announce we have won the award for 'Training Partner of the Year 2018' with Fortem

Fortem began as a small business with just 38 employees. 15 years later, the company has expanded to become a well-established company with over 1000 people. It delivers planned, preventative and responsive care services to property, which includes maintaining 110,000 homes across the UK.

It currently employs 94 apprentices, 47 management trainees and 80% of its promotions are internal appointments. It provides more than 19,000 hours of work experience to local people each year and last year invested £1.2 million in community activities.

Amongst the big names in social housing that it works with are Midland Heart and Orbit, operating from its head office and Smart Hub in Hitchin and offices and depots around the country – in Birmingham, Weoley Castle, Havering, Hull, Oxford, Grantham and Rotherham.

JTL’s Steven Myers who received the award on behalf of JTL, is a training officer working with many of the company’s apprentices: “It’s a great business to work with and we have some of the nicest young people on apprenticeships with Fortem. To win this award as the Fortem Partner of the Year for 2018 is a very special accolade for us from a very special company and this contributes to a great partnership with Fortem. It means a lot to us and we will be striving to win it again next year.”
