Kentec Electronics donates fire panels to support JTL apprentices

As part of the Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Apprenticeship course offered by JTL, apprentices have been enjoying practicing on six new fire panels thanks to the generous donation from Kentec Electronics Ltd.

As part of the donation, Kentec has been instrumental in providing technical support and training on the panels. Additionally, a masterclass organised by Kentec is being planned for the near future to further support JTL apprentices with working on these panels as part of their ongoing development and assessments.

The three-year Fire, Emergency and Security Systems Apprenticeship provides learners with a clear pathway towards becoming a fully qualified technician, engineer or installer of alarm, fire, emergency and security systems. The course provides learners with the opportunity to achieve an industry recognised qualification, giving them the chance to pursue an exciting career.

Joel Dalhouse, Tutor Manager at JTL, said: “We’re over the moon to receive this donation from Kentec – they have made a fantastic addition to our classroom-based learning. Kentec is a leading manufacturer of fire panels, so having the same fire panels as the one our learners are likely to come across in ‘real-world’ scenarios is a true benefit to their learning and understanding of the system. We would like to say a massive thank you to Kentec for not only the panels but also for their technical support.”

Kevin Swann, Managing Director at Kentec Electronics Ltd, said: “We are very happy to be able to support JTL with this donation. At Kentec, we wholeheartedly support training and apprenticeships, and we believe this is the way of the future for the fire industry.”

Kentec Electronics is one of the world’s leading life safety solutions manufacturers of conventional, analogue addressable fire detection and extinguishant control panels.
