London and East of England Awards

05 December 2014     JTL

JTL’s seventh and final regional awards ceremony of 2014 takes place at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire on Wednesday (26 November) evening, where the London and East of England Apprentice of the Year will be named.

The awards, which have been taking place up and down the country in recent weeks, are an opportunity to pay tribute to the fantastic work done by JTL apprentices over the last 12 months, and will be attended by the nominees, their nearest and dearest, JTL staff and employers.

There are five nominees vying for the title of London and East of England Apprentice of the Year 2014, with the shortlist made up of four electrical apprentices and one plumbing apprentice.

Electrical apprentices Natasha Crowe, of Alpha Electrical Ltd, Scott Gillespie, of Bouygues E&S FM UK Ltd, Steven Hylands, of Bancroft Group Ltd, and Alexander Turner, of RJ Stearn Ltd, are joined by plumber James Ransom, of Kent Eco Homes Ltd.

The nominees have been put forward to receive the accolade by their JTL Training Officers, having stood out from their peers. The winner is chosen after all of the nominees are judged on a mixture of their classroom work, practical abilities and feedback from their employers.

The evening will also see an award presented to the company named JTL’s Employer of the Year for the London and East of England region.

Six other regional winners have already been named and announced from around the rest of the country, and the Apprentice of the Year for London and East of England will join them to go head to head for the title of JTL National Apprentice of the Year at a ceremony at Drapers’ Hall, London, in February.

Best of luck to all of the nominees involved!
