New Chief Executive Appointed by JTL

06 February 2015     JTL

JTL has announced the appointment of its new Chief Executive, who takes up his position in March.

Jon Graham joins the charitable company from previous high profile roles in professional and vocational training, most recently as the Managing Director of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and prior to this at Kaplan. He is aged 51. After graduating he trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with BDO in London and following a secondment to their training department became increasingly engaged in training issues. He then joined a professional training organisation which he subsequently purchased with private equity. The business was later sold to Kaplan in 2006. In April 2010 he began a four and-a-half-year period at CIPFA. The JTL appointment has been made following a period of careful consideration by trustees, at a time when the organisation is looking to develop the scope and range of its offerings to both building services engineering and the wider economy. This will involve furthering the reach of JTL’s apprenticeship programmes, as well as broader training programmes such as those for existing professionals in the trades and through the international CompEx subsidiary of JTL.

Jon Graham lives in Kent and is married with three children.

As well as his business achievements Mr Graham has also enjoyed success in the sporting arena and is currently a qualified FA referee and ECB cricket coach.

Jon Graham

“ JTL has a proud record in supporting the well-being and development of skills in the electrical, plumbing and heating trades and this is reflected in some great progress over the last 25 years.

The company has many highly skilled and dedicated staff and I am looking forward to working with them in helping JTL develop and grow its impressive services. The challenge is now taking the organisation to the next level and I am greatly looking forward to my new role.”
