Who will benefit:

This one day course including practical assessment will give candidates the core skills and knowledge to safely isolate a low voltage electrical installation or part of it. Successful completion of this course will mean that candidates will have an understanding of relevant legislation and will have demonstrated a degree of core competence regarding how to carry out safe isolation of low voltage electrical circuits in a domestic or light commercial situation. However, please note that it is the responsibility of each employer to establish whether an individual is competent for the work to be undertaken. 

This course is suitable for:

  • Electrical managers and supervisors with responsibility for safe working practices
  • Electricians working on installation, maintenance and fault finding activities
  • Other trades who are required to safely isolate electrical equipment prior to mechanical maintenance activities
  • Non-electrical personnel and managers requiring a clear understanding of the legal requirements and practical implementation of safe isolation.

A practical assessment will take place, and all delegates who complete the course will receive a certificate to add to their CPD (Continued Professional Development) records.
